Question about Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 - G70NC

It's a good monitor! I'm using it for about a year now, and I use it for video /photo editing, graphic stuff and sometimes for gaming. In the beginning it felt huge, but i got used to it quite fast. So its completely worth the buck but only if you have enough space to put it, and you might want to put it really deep on your desk!

The quality itself is fine, I use it for home office, graphic design, 3D design, gaming and trading. At 4K resolution you simply need 125% scaling otherwise numbers / letters are not clearly legible, unless you have the thing 30cm in front of your face. In addition, colour shift to the side even at a viewing distance of 80cm, as it is not curved - annoying for graphic design.
What I personally find most annoying is the fact that it's not just a monitor, but more of a TV. With my 3-person setup (yes, my desk is that big), this means three remote controls that I have to constantly pick up because the devices, although set correctly, are too stupid to automatically recognise whether workstation 1 or 2 has started. Heat radiation is above average depending on the brightness.

If the desk is large enough to place this screen and the notebook next to it, then it is very nice to work with it. Various open windows can be distributed so well.

I use it for home office. Might be too big for many applications, but probably a matter of taste.

Picture quality and everything about the monitor is great. Personally, I find it too big for working. It is more than suitable for gaming, but I can only agree with Morat.Trabi.

Seriously, I wouldn't need it for work. Such monitors are designed for high performance with good computers, i.e. for professional gamers or similar. It only emits a lot of heat for work, is unsuitable for the neck and simply consumes too much power to display lines of code and documents. In the home office, either use 2/3 monitors with a stand and switch or buy a curved monitor that is not as gigantic as this one. The different monitors make switching to other platforms or working with virtual machines easier and are individually adjustable. 8 hours at a desk distance with such a monitor quickly causes headaches and the performance that the monitor offers is not needed for employees.

I use it for Netflix and home office. Great picture quality with a matt screen. I am very satisfied.
