Is Bluetooth automatically switched off when the cable is connected? Or does it continue to run?

Helpful answer
I use the Bluetooth dongle BTD800 from Sennheiser. With this, Bluetooth is automatically switched off as soon as the headphones are connected with a cable and switched on again when the cable is removed.
