Question about Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller + Cable for Windows

Cable is for using it as wired controller and no, it does not charge the batteries if the wire is connected. To use it as wireless you have to put batteries and connect it via Bluetooth.

I don’t have an Xbox One but I use the cable with my steam link and if I’m on my pc. I use it wireless on my Microsoft surface. I mainly use the cable to save the battery.
