Question about Dell P2720DC

I'm a bit stumped, thank you for your help! My laptop (Dell Latitude 7290) has a Thunderbolt port, which is USB-C shaped. This monitor has a UBS-C output. Can I connect the laptop to the monitor with a) a Thunderbolt cable or b) a USB-C cable? merci!
