If the mainboard has 4 slots for RAM, does 2x 32GB or 4x 16GB make more sense? The difference in price is only about 10 francs.

I would choose 2 slots with 32 GB each.
Then you still have the option to upgrade to 128 GB with an additional 2 x 32 GB.
