If I only have one SIM slot on the device, can I not use this service with WhatsApp? Or is there a trick how I can still keep WhatsApp active if my SIM with my number is no longer in the device?

Whats App works! After installing the Q-Sim and opening WhatsApp, WhatsApp asks if you want to keep the number and then says "Yes" or "Keep old number" I can't remember exactly. But that's how it works :)
