If I have two of these monitors can I then connect only one to the computer and forward the signal from the first to the second monitor? Will the second monitor then really be recognised as a second display? Best thanks

Nen that is not possible, this monitor does not have a DisplayPort Out connection with which you could then pass the signal from one device to the next. Furthermore, the resolution of this monitor is not recommendable, it only has a TN panel, which distorts the colours when viewed from the side. Also, the Full HD resolution is completely unsuitable even for a 24 inch screen, on 27 inches this only gets worse. I recommend a 4K UHD screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, in 28 inches It offers four times the resolution and thus makes the use of a second monitor unnecessary. Also, even small fonts are displayed razor-sharp, which is not possible at all with a Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel panel at 27 or even 24 inches.

This Philips 28 inch 4K UHD display has a viewing angle stable IPS panel, even offers built-in speakers, is height adjustable and has a 1.07 billion colour reproduction. With a single screen, the expenditure is smaller than with 2 x 27 inches with poor resolution, but the text display quality and sharpness are many times better. Windows 10 or MacOS have excellent scaling, so this screen can also be operated with scaling 125 or 150% (if the fonts displayed would possibly be too small with scaling 100%).

Philips 288E2UAE/00 (28 ", 3840 x 2160 Pixels)

A 4K UHD display is also better for ergonomics, because 2 x 27 inches with 1920 x 1080 pixels would create a monitor wall that would be over 120 m wide. And the power consumption of a high-resolution monitor is also kept within limits.
