Question about Dell P3421W

I would like to use the PbP mode to have a "real" two monitor mode for working, more or less as an extended desktop under Windows. To do this, I would connect the HDMI and DisplayPort input to the (same) laptop docking station with one cable each. Does this work and does anyone have experience with a similar setup? Is it as comfortable to work with as two monitors? Many thanks in advance

you don't have to make it so complicated. you can split your screen into different windows using the "Dell Display Manager". You can split the screen, divide it into thirds and so on. There are different templates.
