I would like to use my Sigma 17-70mm F/2.8-4.0 DC OS HSM Macro Contemporary (Canon) with the Speedbooster. However, this doesn't seem to work because of the EF-S bayonet. Is that so?

This is very apparent, EF-S lenses stick out further than EF lenses.
