Aukey Powerbank PB-Y7
30000 mAh, 111 Wh
I would like to take this powerbank with me on holiday. Am I allowed to take it on the plane at all? Be it hand biscuits or suitcases.
I flew last week and it is regulated internationally.
You can take up to 160Wh in your hand luggage, but not in your suitcase, which has to be handed in.
I think this is why powerbanks are made up to 160 Kw / 30 000 mAh.
Greetings
It is not allowed in the suitcase, hand luggage is generally allowed, but it should not be empty (depending on the holiday destination, especially with such a "massive" powerbank, you may have to show that it actually works and that there is not something else in the case).
Unfortunately no !
The thing has 111Wh.
Conclusion--> It only flies with us if we book it in advance. Otherwise it flies into the bin :-D Problem-free is under 100Wh.

I haven't had any problems taking the powerbank on the plane yet. I have always shown it voluntarily... No one itched...
Can I also use it to charge my surface book?
Another question; my Aukey is just under 2 years old. Now the plastic is bulging, similar to a defective battery, does anyone have this too? I'd rather not use the powerbank at the moment.
