In the long run, this is probably better for the SSD. In terms of performance, however, you should not notice any differences. Perhaps it's also more a question of optics.

The first M2 slot is equipped with an EVO 970 1 TB and already hidden under a "cooling plate".
Is it worth buying an M2 heat sink (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/delock-m2-kuehlkoerper-70x22x10mm-festplatte-zubehoer-8355735) for the second 970 EVO - M2 slot? Supposedly up to (only?) 10 degrees difference possible. Thanks for your opinions 🙂
