I would like to connect stereo speakers to the record player. This should be possible via the rear cinch connection. My question concerns the preamplifier. Is it sufficient to operate the speakers or would the speakers have to be equipped with an amplifier or would a separate amplifier have to be purchased? For example, would the Denon SC-F109 stereo speakers be compatible with the record player? Thank you very much for your answers. (I am a newcomer in this field).

Hi, you need either active speakers (they already have the amplifier built in) or passive speakers with a matching amplifier. The Denon speakers you mentioned are passive, so you would need an amplifier.

In any case, I connected it to my amplifier, but not in the phono input, but in the CD input - you probably won't be able to connect it to passive speakers - but there are also active ones😎 - I'm no hero in such matters either.
