I would like to change the graphics card of my Tharsis T85 (Intel i7-3770) from GeForce GT640 to GTX 1060. Does that make sense in combination with the mainboard? Does it need a stronger power supply?

That is possible in principle. You must decide for yourself whether this makes sense. I generally recommend replacing or buying a new complete PC after approx. 3-5 years. This is mostly because of the warranty on all the components. You never know, one component after the other will suddenly break.

The manufacturer recommends at least a 400W power supply for the operation of this graphics card. Please also note the dimensions of the graphics card so that it has room in the PC. Width 2 slots, length x height 252mm x 112mm.

You can find further information on the manufacturer's website: http://eu.palit.com/palit...
