I would like to buy a new TV and have picked out two. However, I don't know what the advantages and disadvantages are. We are talking about the LG OLEDC7V and QLED55Q8C. Can you help me?

Take a look at OLED here:
www.digitec.ch/de/s1/page/was-koennen-oled-tvs-besser-6276
as each pixel is controlled/switched off individually, this technology is suitable for maximum contrast ("absolute black") when it is dark in the film/game.

Samsung wants to catch up with their LCDs and has equipped the premium devices of the 2018 QLED series (i.e. only the 9FN models) with 480 LEDs distributed

over the entire panel instead of the usual illumination from the edge, the others (8FN, 7FN or older ones like 8F, 7F) still only have the edge lighting available.

I bought both the LG OLED55C7 and the Samsung QE557FN in the summer, the LG - picture is absolutely unbeatable and offers the best picture of 5 UHD devices I run (both in terms of contrast and blackness, but it is also very bright in daylight, which is often not expected from OLEDs). Besides that, the sound is also worth mentioning: Boom-bastic - absolutely no soundbar needed here in a 20sqm room! The only disadvantage is that for timeshift you have to connect a full-blown HDD, USB sticks or SDDs are NOT accepted (but for about 60CHF you can already get 1TB from seagate in 2.5" format).

Samsung has nice gadgets like Ambience Mode, but if you want picture quality that's close to OLED (but will still be a bit weaker, and the sound won't keep up) you'll have to look at the 9FNs, but they're beyond the 3kCHF mark-.
