I was just about to start using the camera, but Logitech Capture doesn't work on the Mac Book Pro 2020. The camera is recognised and works in MS Teams, but without any other functions - so you can see the whole room in a wide angle and then me in the middle somewhere. No option. Does anyone have a solution? I have already asked Logitech when the software for the M1 will be updated, but no answer.
ha - great - pipeline61 has the solution - SUUPER! Link is above. Software installed. If you start "Camera Settings" first and then let it run, it also works to change the size while the MS Teams session is running.
I have the same problem with my Logi and an iMac 27 inch. A tip from a reader was to start the Logi Capture software first and then select Logi Capture as the camera in the Teams menu. Then it might work. I found a video about this on the internet - but for a Windows computer. On my Mac, the selection is not displayed. So I can't use this trick. I cannot install the software on my business Windows computer. It is the same there and the option cannot be selected. It works on all other video portals. I therefore assume that it is due to the restrictions of MS Teams that no zooming or tracking is possible.
I have helped myself by mounting the camera on a kind of flexible gallows (like a desk lamp) and moving it so close to me (about 40-45 cm away from my face) that I am in the picture in full format. A suitable background of my own creation - I sit sideways - and you can also convey (advertising) messages. With my own background, everything that is more than about 1.5 tenants behind the camera becomes blurred.
The microphone is absolutely great at this distance (if you have activated the Streamcam microphone), the sound from the computer or the loudspeaker behind it does not disturb other participants at all. In this respect, you have "nothing else on your ears" and are totally flexible.
In this respect, I have made my peace with it, especially since the quality comes across much better, despite all the limitations, if the bandwidth fits.
