I wanted to use the adapter for my ASUS ZenBook 14 UX433FN-A5021T. The adapter as such is recognised, but the screen is not, neither via HDMI nor via DisplayPort. What am I doing wrong?

I suspect that the USB-C connector on your ASUS notebook does not support the transmission of Displayport signals. This means that no video signals are transmitted. Check the manual, because there are different versions of USB-C.
