I wanted to update my mother's device, it still has ColorOS11 on it (2021). Does anyone know if and how I can update the OS? In the settings, I can't trigger an update in the usual Android places, and the device also says that no updates are available for Play Store updates and Android security updates (also status 2021). Thank you!

Hello, I have the same problem. Unfortunately, after months of research, my theory as to why the Neo won't update is that both you/your mum and I have been duped into a test device that should not be officially sold. The device works perfectly, but I realised too late that it had an update problem.

Such devices were sent to developers for testing purposes and may not be resold. You can also see under Software Update that it says "Trial version - please upgrade in time" and "internal test". I would be interested to know if it looks the same on your device.

I've been stuck on ColorOS 11.1 ever since and there are no updates. Not even via VPN. Oppo itself tried to trigger an update for me using my IMEI, but that was also unsuccessful. I suspect that the OTA update feature is disabled on these devices. I have been trying for ages to find out if it is possible to manually flash an official Oppo ROM. If anyone knows about this or has further information, or the same problem, please send an email to: majo334@web.de

There is incredibly little to no information on this issue.

Thank you!
Restart, battery level and WLAN are OK - but I can't "pick up" or trigger the update on the ColorOS logo. I would have said that version 13 should already have been distributed. I don't know what notifications were pushed away. Unfortunately, the OPPO site only has software for the Find X2. I'll have a look when I get my hands on the device next time. I don't want to reset it completely to factory settings.

Mine automatically receives a notification when an update is available. Otherwise, go to Settings - About Device - then click on the ColorOS logo.
I currently have ColorOS 13.1

Here is the official article from Oppo Support:
https://support.oppo.com/chde...

Maybe the battery level is too low or the network connection too weak for an OTA update?
You can also update via cable or SD card according to the article.

Good luck
