I wanted to charge this battery in the original charger. Although it shows that it is charging, nothing happens. Why? Is it defective or incompatible?

I have both an original Canon battery and the one from Patona and charge both with the original Canon charger without any problems.

I would say that the battery is defective. I have 2 of the same battery and the original charger charges the batteries without any problem.
