Question about Manfrotto 055XPRO3 Tripod with 3 segments

The tripod is designed for a load of up to 9 kg. It therefore still has a reserve. It is robustly built and has good stability.
I am very satisfied with it and can only recommend it.
What should not be underestimated from my point of view is the tripod head. It's worth comparing the different models. Which one you choose depends primarily on the area of use.

The tripod is built for very heavy cameras - that's what the product sheets say. However, it becomes unstable when the flexible part is fully extended horizontally. The aluminium version in particular is very stable and I have mounted cameras on it myself and trust the construction completely. Tripods can also be additionally stabilised in windy conditions with bags or weights. So the tripod is stable - but not as light as a feather to carry around. Mafrotto remains the first choice because it offers the whole range. Otherwise, switch to a video tripod from Manfrotto. That carries heavy cameras.
