Question about Samsung Odyssey G6 - G65B

I want to buy a monitor for my laptop and the laptop has a HDMI 2.1 the right one, but the laptop connection is called 4k 60 hz, does that mean that it will only go up to 60 hz through HDMI? if so, can I just use USB or USB-G ports that go above 60hz?
