I use the monitor with a MacBook Pro from 2016. The monitor is no longer recognised after a long period of idle time. Switching off/on or plugging in/unplugging the USB-C cable does nothing and even reconnecting the USB-C cable directly to the Mac is not successful. The image is only recognised again via USB-C if the monitor is completely disconnected from the power supply for a short time. I use the supplied USB-C cable. Does anyone know the problem and has it possibly been solved? Thank you very much for any input.

Do you still have this problem? Screen would be exactly also for a MacBook Pro and the idea would be exactly to need only one cable for everything.

Hello, is the LG 32UL950-W the newer model, or the successor ? Fg

I also have this problem (with MacMini 2018). I also ALWAYS have to switch on the monitor before I start the computer, otherwise I have the same problem. I only know this from the last millennium in MS-DOS times ;-)

I also had this problem. Solution for me: SMART ENERGY SAVING on Off. Now works fine.
