I too have read that there are connection problems with Macbooks. What is the status: Can I connect this monitor to my 2020 Macbook Air with M1 processor and get started right away, or should I be prepared for problems? Will the monitor charge the Macbook via USB-C? Thank you for the answers!

I use the monitor with 2016 and 2019 MBP's and have no problems with it. The only thing to keep in mind is that the monitor must be turned on when you disconnect or connect it to the MPB. Turning it off when it's still attached or turning it on after it's connected doesn't work and can really only be fixed by rebooting the Mac. hth
