Question about Poly Plantronics

I think the headset is great and have been using it for several years without any major problems. But the foam pads are getting quite musty. Is it possible to wash them? Or are there replacement pads available? I found them from Steelseries, but they cost 50CHF with shipping, which is a bit steep.
