i-tec USB-C Nano Dock always gets very warm/hot. Is this normal? Many thanks for brief feedback

Yes, that's normal, the enclosures are designed in such a way that they dissipate the heat generated inside via the enclosure itself, because there are no active fans installed in such docking solutions.
