I received the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller I ordered today. It did not come with an Xbox battery. Is that correct? Do I also have to order the Xbox battery if I want to use the controller with a battery? I'm actually of the opinion that the battery should be included.

Correct You have to buy the battery separately.
