I own a Lenovo Yoga C740. It only has two USB-C and two normal USB ports. I already got an adapter from USB normal to HDMI, but it didn't work. Would it work with this USB-C to HDMI adapter?

In principle, yes. However, I recommend one that may have 2 USB ports. There are plenty of alternatives.
Besides, this one was defective after 2 months.
