I notice that this keyboard has two protocols, Bluetooth and Unifying, as with most wireless keyboards I find that the transmission is often interfered with, what about this keyboard?
I have been using this keyboard in Unifying mode in parallel with a Perfomance MX mouse for over a year without any problems. I was already using another Unifying keyboard before.
The Unifying receiver is connected with an extension cable to my multimedia PC, more than two meters away from my keyboard and mouse devices. This receiver is surrounded by multimedia equipment (TV, amp, decoder, ...) and is only a few centimetres away from the centre speaker of my 5.1 home cinema system.
In the same room, I have my WiFi router, my mobile phone, a DECT cordless phone, a wireless thermostat for the heating and other IT equipment, as well as my laptop with another Unifying receiver and mouse connected to it. Sometimes I have both PCs on at the same time with no interference between the two Unifying connections, even with both mice side by side to my laptop and more than three to my Multimedia PC.
When the Unifying receiver was plugged into the back of my Multimedia PC's aluminium case, I had some interference, but with the receiver at the back of the case, I had no interference. When the Unifying receiver was plugged into the back of the aluminium case of my Multimedia PC, I had some interference, but with the receiver on the front within direct range of the peripherals, even at more than two meters, no problems.
I did not try the Bluetooth connection.
There is no Bluetooth on this keyboard. I bought it and found out that it was not. I returned it because of this and had to accept the CHF 10.00 deduction. Disgusting that mistakes like this are passed on to the customer.
I was not aware that the keyboard supported Bluetooth mode, but I can confirm that in my living room environment Unifying is also heavily microwaved, (receiver on a Raspberry Pi, plastic casing) I have no problems with connections at 2-3 meters.
PS
...even with both mice side by side to my laptop and more than three METERS FROM my PC Multimedia....
Thank you for the detailed answer I'm still hesitating.... I find to have tested the Logitech TK820 the Unifying really unreliable in terms of transmission and reception the kind where you don't need a table between Unifying and the keyboard. It's for this reason that if the Bluetooth can help stability it would interest me
