I need a length of 16 metres. Unfortunately, the maximum length is specified as 10 metres. Is it possible to control 2 light strips together in the app or do I always have to select them separately to operate them?

Most apps (including the Yeelight one) have a concept of "rooms" where you can control the state of multiple devices together. I can confirm that I can set the on/off state, intensity, color and flow parameters for a room through the official Yeelight app.

In addition, this smartlight has an open LAN control protocol. You can write your own software for it..
