I like my old Huawei, but does this model still have those weird smileys? 🙄

Yes, unfortunately. These smileys are useless. But Huawei is not alone here. HTC, for example, can't do it either. They have the same stupid emoticons installed.

So if the emoticons are an argument against a purchase, then I don't know any more...;)
Emoticons can always be changed, just download another keyboard, e.g. Swiftkey or Google Keyboard.
