Question about SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-I V30

I just bought one to store the OS for my Raspberry Pi. I was able to transfer the OS to it via the supplied adapter, but when I connected it to the Raspberry Pi it got so hot it burnt my hand. I immediately disconnected everything, but the heat was so great that it physically bent in half when I pulled it out. I just hope it didn't damage the port on my Raspberry Pi.
