I have two of these monitors and run them with a Geforce GTS450. Now I have the problem that only one monitor works with the full resolution and the second only in 1080p. Monitor 1 is connected via DVI-D / DVI-D and even works with 75hz. Monitor 2 is connected via DVI-D / HDMI and can only display 1080P, 60hz. the DVI-D / HDMI cable can theoretically display 4k, even if I swap the cables, only the DVI-D/DVI-D cable works properly. Is it possibly due to the old graphics card which can only deliver the full resolution once?
It depends on the available total number of pixels of the graphics card.
If you have an iGPU, you can power a monitor via the mainboard, otherwise buy a cheap new card.
