I have this graphics card; Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (8GB, High End), now I wanted to ask you if an i5 processor can drive this graphics card? If not, can an i7 ?

Yes, the i5 6600K harmonises wonderfully with a GTX 1070, I have a similar combination myself and am very satisfied. You should be able to play all the latest games with it, provided you have the right motherboard. In my opinion, an i7 is only worthwhile if you also use multithreading-intensive applications, such as video rendering with Adobe After Effects or 3D programmes like Maya or Cinema 4D, etc.
