I have the USB-A version of this adapter and just bought the new Macbook Pro 16'' which has already an SD Card Reader. Is it worth it to buy this adapter? Will I get faster transfer speeds with it? Thanks

The USB-C adapter can transfer data faster than USB-A.
But if your laptop already has a SD card reader the reading speed will be given by that and cannot be any faster with an adapter.
