I have the squareBlade 100W Slim version and when I connect devices for charging via the USB A ports, the charging current goes to 0.0A after a few seconds and then it "switches" to the charging process that the devices have agreed on (Quickcharge etc.). The smartphone display switches on again, for example.

Is this normal? So far I have not seen this kind of behaviour or the "switchover" is seamless.

Even with simple devices that charge with e.g. 5V 1A, the device switches over after a few seconds and then continues charging with the same values.

Answer

The powerbank is from aliexpress and is sold there for less than half the price. The powerbank broke after 3 weeks, no longer discharges
