Question about Hario Skerton Pro, coffee grinder

I have the problem that the degree of grinding changes during grinding as the grinder opens further and further (the degree of grinding becomes coarser and coarser). Does anyone else have this problem? I'm actually trying to get a medium grind for the French press.
