No, such a card always goes in the shortest slot on the board, not in the x16, where the graphics card, if present, is plugged in, but in the x1! This is usually at the bottom. Either way, the WLAN card must be in the shortest slot on the board. If you have several short ones, use the one where the rest of the parts still have enough space.
