I have seen a few builds where an Asus 1080 Strix fits in, can anyone confirm this or is the case really too small?

Only a graphics card with a max. length of 290 mm fits in this case - the 1080 Strix is 298 mm long, which is too long. If I were you, I would choose a different case because I couldn't do without my 1080.
