If what j.a. combe suggested doesn't work, proceed with the following:
The Apple Magic Mouse (including the 2024 version) doesn’t have a traditional "reset" button, but you can reset it by following these steps:
🔁 Soft Reset (Bluetooth Reconnection)
1. Turn off the mouse
Flip the switch on the bottom to the off position (you’ll see no green).
2. Forget the device on your Mac
- Go to System Settings > Bluetooth
- Find Magic Mouse, click the (i) next to it and select "Forget This Device"
3. Turn the mouse back on
Slide the switch back to on (green is visible).
4. Re-pair the mouse
- Wait a few seconds. Your Mac should detect the mouse again.
- Click "Connect" when it appears.
