I have read in reviews that the record player can only be connected via Bluetooth to own-brand speakers. Is this really the case? How good is the Bluetooth quality?

I connected it to my Marshall speaker via bluetooth and it works perfectly.

It must be a fake. I gave the player to my daughter as a present. She uses standard Bluetooth speakers. Perfect quality as you would expect from Bluetooth.
