I have one screen on the VGA port and a second screen on the DVI-D port with a DVI-D / VGA adapter. The screen on the VGA port is recognised, the other one is not. I suspected that the adapter was defective and ordered another one, but unfortunately that was not the cause. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
Change the display from the adapter directly to the VGA. This way you know if both displays work and are recognised with each connection.
It is possible that VGA and DVI use a common connection (in the graphics card). However, this should be stated in the properties or in the operating instructions. If this is the case, you will have to switch to the HDMI connection for one display.
