Question about ASUS GeForce RTX 2070S ROG Strix 8G Gaming

I have no idea about graphics cards, my question is: can I give my MacBook pro a boost with an old and slow graphics card? I would like to use an external ECPU in conjunction with the Razer Core X Chroma eGPU. Is this possible on the hardware side and also on the software side? I wouldn't need this graphics card for gaming but for video editing but I don't think that matters.
