I have JBL speakers can I connect them to the adapter? Or do only Bose speakers work?

You cannot connect speakers directly to this adapter, but you can connect the adapter to an Aux connection on your stereo system or home cinema. Then you can use Bluetooth to stream music from your mobile phone. Or the music from a BoseSoundTouch device.
