Question about Sitecom CN 386

I have been using this hub on my MacBook Pro for several weeks and I also charge it via the Power USB-C port on the front. Two SanDisk Extreme SSD drives are also attached. Everything actually works very well, even with very high transfer rates, but the hub is constantly hot (I estimate around 50°C) even when the MacBook is idle! Does anyone have similar experiences with the temperature on a Mac / Macbook? Thanks
