I have assembled a PC myself and it recognises the SSD, but not this 1TB hard drive. Can anyone help? Do I have to format it somehow?
man muss im disk management client erst die hdd formatieren, happy computing ;)
There are many possible reasons why you don't see the plate. To scan the whole thing:
1) Which mainboard do you have and which SATA port do you have the drive connected to?
2) Are all drivers really installed? Also any additional SATA drivers?
3) Have you checked in the device manager or in the disk management if the disk is really not displayed there?
3a) If it is visible in the disk management, you must first initialise the disk and then partition/format it.
