I have a Samsung TV without 3.5mm, now the question would it work as a digital to analogue converter with 62ohm headphones? I bought a pure converter before, but unfortunately I couldn't get the sound to work.

Ah, now I understand. It works for me when connected directly to the USB. According to the instructions, it is possible to operate the unit with Toslink as input and USB as power source for the signal amplification. A USB cable is included, but you still have to get a USB power adapter. KG

You would need to find out if your Samsung machine can output sound via USB. Normal desktop operating systems recognise this DAC and route the sound output to the DAC via USB. The DAC doesn't care where the signal is coming from as long as it is standard compliant.
