I have a question that has been bothering me for a few days now. should I buy this processor or the 9700k? I use the cpu for gaming, premiere pro, unity and blender etc.... And of course various games. I already have a z370-f asus strix from the mainboard cashback and would know which cpu to take. Thanks in advance, HardwareToaster

For now, I can recommend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch It shows that the new generation has only a marginal advantage over the old one. What speaks against it, however, is the current price of the 8700K.

I also wanted the 9th generation, but I still decided on the 8700k. The 8700 is also easier to head and then the OC has almost the same performance in games if not even better.

And the 8700k is currently available for 428 at microspot, I don't know why it is so expensive here.

Ah, linus has made a video about it. Thanks for the link. So it doesn't matter which cpu I use? I once heard that the 9700k gets pretty hot, will the 8700k also get that hot?
