Question about AVM FRITZ!Fon C5 International / CH

I have a FRITZ!Box 7490, but I see that it says "WiFi phone connection". Does this mean that I don't need to connect the FRITZ!Fon directly to the FRITZ!Box as they will be connected via wifi?
