Question about Garmin epix Sapphire Gen2

I have a FENIX 6S that I don't use every day and when I want to connect to the satellite network, I have to wait up to 10 minutes and the automatic calibration of the altimeter leaves something to be desired. Is the EPIX 2 satellite connection faster and does the altimeter calibration work?

Before the Epix 2, I used the Fenix 5, which also often had problems with the GPS connection. With the Epix 2, everything runs much more smoothly - even the sports programmes including GPS are ready in seconds. For comparison, I have the Fenix 7s sapphire, which behaves similarly to the Epix 2.
I can't judge the altimeter. When jogging, golfing or hiking, there are no real peaks, but the display, or evaluations, seem to be correct (when the start point = end point again results in 0).

Switching to the Epix 2/Fenix 7s sapphire also brings other advantages: Display, programme scope, integration into everyday life. Disadvantages: Battery life and size, if this was a factor in buying the 6s. Another disadvantage of the 7s sapphire: very dark display.

The new Epix 2 Pro series will also apparently offer smaller models, in the size of the 7s. These should be released soon.

It connects instantly. As for the altimeter, I can't confirm whether it's accurate or not because I don't really look at it.
On the other hand, Garmin has just released the Epix 2 pro, which is even better, for 100. more.
