Nanoleaf Aurora Rhythm
Nanoleaf Aurora Rhythm
I have 2 starter sets from Aurora. With 2 controllers. Do I now need 2 Rythm or is one enough and can I pair it with both?
No, unfortunately you need one Rhythm per controller. I also thought it would be possible to link them, but unfortunately it's not possible.
I can also recommend the LightDJ app from NRTHRNLIGHTS, LLC. With this app, you can animate your lamps to the music with various lighting effects that are either controlled by music recognition via the microphone or by a predefined tempo.
The disadvantages of the app:
- Pairing with Nanoleaf Aurora only works on iOS at the moment, Android is to follow, unfortunately the app is not available on Windows 10 as far as I know.
- The app with all functions costs money, but there is also a free version.
- If you want to play music from your device via Bluetooth speakers, these must also have a microphone so that the music recognition works.
The advantages of the app:
- You can use several Auroras (on iOS) at the same time. (It is said to have already worked with 4 controllers, more should theoretically be possible).
- You can also pair the LIFX and Phillips Hue smart lights with the app, literally turning your room into a disco.
- In my opinion, the music recognition is very good and creates a good atmosphere.
Of course, you don't have the same effects available as with the Rhythm module, but the effects from the app also have a lot to offer and, as I said, you can use several Auroras and Smartlights synchronously, which is pretty cool.
