Question about AOC CU34G3S/BK
I got the monitor today and so far I'm happy with the picture and the gaming, but the audio sounds so mono and flat, even though both speakers work, would you say yes audio is not its strong point and that's the way it is, or is my device just broken. In the OSD you can only adjust the volume but not bass, treble etc. which would be helpful, the drivers are actually useless too, of course I tried several cables like HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C to DisplayPort all the same audio quality. If you connect the monitor with external speakers via 3.5 mm plug, the sound works as expected. So is it bad out of the box sound or rather a factory error?

No, that's the right thing to do. AOC is not known for the best sound and is not really aimed at people who like to take the sound from the monitor.
It's the same for me. If you are looking for good sound, the built-in speakers are certainly not the best. I was also a bit shocked at first :)
